IC design service provider Faraday Technology has announced record high revenues of NT$672.07 million (US$22.44 million) for July, up 2.8% sequentially and 48.8% on year.
Increasing shipments of embedded MMC (eMMC) controller ICs and USB 3.0 controller ICs contributed to revenue gains in July, said industry sources, adding that Faraday shipped the bulk of its eMMC controller ICs to Samsung Electronics.
ASICs accounted for NT$584.81 million of total revenues in July, followed by non-recurring engineering (NRE) design business at NT$44.81 million and IP income at NT$42.45 million, the company said.
For the first seven months of 2012, unconsolidated revenues totaled NT$4.37 billion, increasing 40.2% from a year earlier. |
