Taiwan-based DRAM memory maker Nanya Technology saw revenues decline about 12% from a year ago in August 2012 while revenues at Inotera Memories slid 7% on year.
On a sequential basis, both Nanya and Inotera also registered revenue decreases from July.
Nanya has announced August revenues of NT$2.11 billion (US$70.6 million), down 18.2% on month and 12.2% on year. The figure also hit the lowest monthly level for 2012.
Inotera's revenues fell sequentially for a fourth-straight month in August 2012. The firm collected revenues of NT$2.86 billion in August, representing decreases of 5.8% on month and 7.3% from a year earlier.
Nanya's revenues for the first eight months of 2012 amounted to NT$23.59 billion, down 12.5% from a year ago while Inotera's dropped 9.4% to NT$23.39 billion.
Nanya and Inotera said previously that they expected to post smaller losses for the third quarter. Net losses at Nanya and Inotera were NT$6.68 billion and NT$2.98 billion, respectively, in the second quarter of 2012, showing improvement from the prior quarter.
