Toshiba Digital Media Network Taiwan, Toshiba Storage Products' subsidiary responsible for marketing hard disk drives (HDDs) in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, on September 25 unveiled two hybrid drives, the MQ01ABD100H and MQ01ABD075H, for launch in the Taiwan market at the end of September.

The two hybrid drives integrate HDD's large storage capacity with NAND flash's quick read/write speeds powered by a self-learning algorithm which enables the hybrid drives to learn users' behavior and accordingly save frequently used data on NAND flash memory and data not frequently used on the HDD, Toshiba Taiwan pointed out.
