NAND flash controller IC vendor Skymedi saw its losses before taxes narrow to NT$170 million (US$5.79 million) in the third quarter of 2012 from NT$190 million recorded in the second quarter. The third-quarter losses translated into negative EPS of NT$2.67 before taxes.
However, the company also saw its revenues slide 46.3% sequentially to NT$143 million in the third quarter, affected by product transitions at the company and declining demand for NAND flash chips, said Skymedi.
For the first nine months of 2012, revenues were down 64% on year to NT$759 million, while pre-tax losses accumulated to NT$441 million, which represented a loss of NT$6.91 per share before taxes for the period. |
