Lenovo aims to see double-digit on-year growth in its sales in the Taiwan market in 2013, general manager Justin Kiang for Lenovo Taiwan said at a recent press conference to unveil Windows 8 notebooks.
In line with the target sales growth, Lenovo will expand marketing personnel in Taiwan, Liang indicated but did not reveal details.
In the Taiwan market, Lenovo has seen significant growth mainly through attaining a relatively high share of the business-use market segment, Liang noted. In the future, Lenovo will strengthen marketing in the consumer market segment, Liang said. Lenovo will enhance brand awareness through cooperation with local sales agents to set up large retail outlets in northern, central and southern metropolitan areas, Liang pointed out. Such outlets are expected to help introduce consumers to Windows 8 touch-control devices, Liang indicated.
In the Taiwan PC market, Lenovo is currently the third-largest vendor next to Acer and Asustek Computer, and the largest among foreign vendors. |
