Lenovo generated its historically highest revenues at US$9.36 billion, net profit of US$205 million and global PC market share of 15.9% in the third quarter of its fiscal year 2012 (fourth quarter of 2012), according to the company.
Lenovo posted a gross margin of 11.8%, net operating profit of US$243 million and pre-tax profit of US$246 million for the quarter.
During the quarter, Lenovo sold 14.1 million PCs (notebooks and desktops) globally, increasing on year by 7.9% in contrast with a 7.8% decrease in the corresponding total global sales volume.
