What smartphones are going to launch at MWC 2013 is a question a lot of people want to know the answer to. So that's exactly what we are going to do here...tell you everything you need to know about what smartphones are planned to launch at Mobile World Congress this year.
It's worth mentioning that although more smartphones are being released now than ever before, it doesn't mean that MWC 2013 will play host to dozens of smartphone launches. The reality is that most companies now look to create a bit of a 'buzz' around new smartphones and one of the ways they do this is by hosting one-off events (See Samsung Galaxy S3 launch for best example).
However, that doesn't mean that all companies are avoiding launching smartphone's at MWC. Here are the smartphones that we know are going to launch at MWC 2013:
MWC 2013 smartphones: Nokia PureView Lumia
The Nokia PureView Lumia's sibling, the 808 PureView with a Symbian OS, launched at MWC 2012 and picked up the award 'Best New Mobile Handset, Device or Tablet'.
Since winning that award the 808 didn't really push on and achieve much in the real world. Part of the reason for the lack of any real success was due to its failing Symbian OS.
Well, now Nokia is set to ditch one struggling OS for another (currently) struggling OS by launching a PureView smartphone with Windows Phone 8 installed.
If you didn't know already, the key feature of Nokia's PureView smartphone is its 41Mp camera. Putting this on a Lumia Windows Phone 8 smartphone can only be a good thing for Nokia, Windows Phone 8 and consumers.

MWC 2013 smartphones: HTC M7 / HTC One
Ok, so the HTC M7, also called HTC One) isn't technically launching at MWC 2013 (it's launching on 19 February), but you can be certain that it is where most people will get a better look at the device.
The HTC M7/ HTC One is set to be HTC's new flagship smartphone running Google Android Jelly Bean with Sense 5.0. Other rumoured specs include a 4.7in Full HD (1920 x 1080) screen, a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 12Mp camera and 32GB of storage.
The HTC M7 / HTC One launch build-up has been about as leaky as a sieve, as you can see from the rumoured specs above, there's even been pretty solid leaked images of the device too. [See below]. To find out more take a look at HTC M7 to launch on 19 February.
MWC 2013 smartphones: Asus FonePad
The final phone that is rumoured to be unveiled at MWC 2013 is the 7-inch Asus FonePad.
No you didn't misread that, Asus is not rumoured to launch another PadFone like it did at MWC 2012, but rather confusingly a reverse device called the FonePad.
As yet there is no solid evidence of the FonePad, but it seems as if it is set to be Asus' contribution to the booming Phablet market. Rumoured specs include an Intel Atom Z242 processor, a 7in (1280x800) IPS screen and 16GB of internal storage. It will also have Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and GPS.
