Quanta Computer has announced consolidated revenues of NT$70.24 billion (US$2.38 billion) for January with notebook shipments reaching 3.3 million units, down from 3.8 million in December 2012.

Commenting on its performance, Quanta pointed out that the shipments met expectations since the first quarter is the slow season of a year, and the company expects its shipments to remain weak in February and start rising in March.

Quanta also expects to see better shipment growth in the second half of the year than in the first half.
