China Mobile has unveiled four TD-LTE smartphones at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013. The four models are manufactured by HTC, LG Electronics, ZTE and Huawei, respectively.
While addressing a TD-LTE technology forum sponsored by the organizers of MWC, China Mobile chairman Xi Guo-hua revealed that more than 100 TD-LTE-enabled terminal devices will be rolled out in 2013, which will help further advance TD-LTE technology as well as its market share.
Participants of the forum included Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs and HTC chairperson Cher Wang.
One out of the four TD-LTE models, the TD 101, rolled by HTC, has a 4.7-inch HD display and an 8-megapixel camera. The TD 101 is slated for launch in July 2013, according to industry sources. |
