Asustek Computer has announced several new products at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 including the Fonepad, a handset tablet; the PadFone Infinity, the latest model of its PadFone product line; and Asus Open Cloud Computing (AOCC).
The Fonepad features a 7-inch 1280 by 800 IPS display with Super IPS+ technology, an Intel Atom Z2420 (1.2GHz) processor, 3-megapixel rear and 1.2-megapixel front cameras, and can support up to 32GB of external storage.
The 8GB Fonepad will be priced at about US$249 and will be available in the Asia Pacific region in March initially, while a 16GB version will be available in April priced at EUR219 (US$298).
The PadFone Infinity features a 5-inch display with Full HD resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and Android 4.2. The smartphone can also be inserted into a 10.1-inch tablet display.
The smartphone features a 13-megapixel camera with a 2.0 aperture lens and has 16 hours of talk time, which can be extended to 48 hours when paired with the tablet. The device also has 64GB of internal storage and a 2-year 50GB plan on Asustek's WebStorage platform. The device will start selling in April priced at EUR999. |
