Taiwan-based industrial PC makers have indicated that they are facing short supply of components, especially active and passive ones, with order-to-delivery time prolonged from a normal level of 6-8 weeks to 10-12 weeks or even 20 weeks.
They said part of the reason for the shortage is that industrial PC makers' orders are generally smaller in volume, and components suppliers usually give priority to bigger orders from PC ODM/OEMs and consumer electronics makers.
The industrial PC makers said if they want to secure components supply, they would have to pay 20-30% more.
