Professional Computer Technology (PCT), which distributes products for Silicon Storage Technology (SST), Sonix Technology, Silego and Insyde, has expressed optimism about the company's 2010 performance. Market watchers have estimated PCT's revenues for 2010 will return to the levels of 2008 with stable sales of NOR flash products.
PCT's consolidated revenues of 2010 are likely to reach NT$7.2 billion (US$222.39 million), up nearly 30% from 2009, and revenues in the first quarter of 2010 will be similar to the level of fourth-quarter 2009 due to increased demand from the China market, the sources expect.
NOR flash accounts for 55% of PCT's total revenues at present, and non-memory products contribute the rest. The company said its touch panel product line is targeting projective capacitive touch panel modules used in 23-inch billboards or above, and it will enter the 19-inch POS application market in the future. In addition, it is deploying USB 3.0 product lines and plans to introduce host products in the second quarter of 2010.
PCT expects its consolidated revenues will drop slightly in December and drop within 5% in the fourth quarter.
