Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation (PSC) on March 22 announced it had sold 3.422 million shares of subsidiary Zentel Electronics, a memory IC design house, for NT$90.99 (US$2.86) per share. The gain is estimated at NT$264 million.
PSC still holds 4.193 million shares of Zentel, representing a stake of 8.29%.
In addition, PSC has lowered its stake in subsidiary Neo Solar Power further by disposing of 4.639 million shares of the solar cell maker at a unit price of NT$66.01, according to a March 12 filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE). PSC in January announced it had dealt out 10.512 million shares of Neo Solar at NT$53.16 per share.
PSC earned a total of NT$622 million through the recent sale of Neo Solar shares. It still holds a 1% stake in Neo Solar.
