Unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013, LG's Optimus F5 made its worldwide debut today, starting off with France, from where it will make it to various markets across Europe, Asia, South- and Central America, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), in the coming weeks.

The Optimus F5 is an upper-mainstream handset, which makes 4G LTE accessible to an even wider demographic. It features a 4.3-inch IPS qHD screen (256 ppi), and a chrome-highlighted body that's available in glossy white and piano black. It measures 126.04 x 64.46 x 9.30 mm. In the imaging department, you get a 5-megapixel autofocus primary camera, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing one.

Under its hood is an unspecified Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core SoC clocked at 1.20 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of storage that's expandable with micro-SDHC. The Optimus F5 features Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean" operating system, laced with a few of LG's own software features, including QSlide (multitasking), Live Zoom (zoom-in on videos as they're being played back), and QTranslator (text, speech, and text-speech translator). An impressive 2,150 mAh battery powers it.
