Samsung rolled out the Galaxy Core (I8260), yet another mainstream handset inspired by its Galaxy S 4 flagship. Featuring a 4.3-inch display with 800 x 480 pixels resolution, the Core runs Touchwiz-enhanced Android 4.1.2. In select markets, dual-SIM enabled Duos variants will be sold. On the Duos variant, the device supports 3G HSDPA on one of its two SIMs, and strictly 2G on the other. Under the hood is a 1.20 GHz dual-core processor, 768 MB of RAM, and 8 GB of storage that's expandable with micro-SDHC. The device tucks in a 5-megapixel primary camera, and a VGA front-shooter. The software ships with several of Samsung's premium features, including Smart Stay, S Voice, Smart Alert, and Motion UI. Powering the device is an 1,800 mAh battery. Measuring 129.3 x 67.6 x 9 mm, it weighs about 140 g. Pricing will vary by region.
