There were 31.93 million tablets shipped globally during the first quarter of 2013, decreasing on quarter by 26.1% but increasing on year by 66.1%.
  The shipments consisted of 19.5 million iPads and 12.43 non-iPad devices, slipping on quarter by 7.1% and 44.1% respectively. In terms of operating system, iOS accounted for 61% of the shipments, Android for 31% and Windows for 8%. In terms of screen size, 7.x-inch models took up 56% of the shipments, 9.x-inch 22%, 10.x-inch 20% and over 11-inch 2%.
  Among international tablet vendors, Apple was the largest accounting for 61.1% of the shipments, followed by Samsung Electronics with 13.8%, Google with 6.1%, Microsoft with 4%, Acer with 3.7%, Asustek Computer with 3%, Barnes & Noble and Lenovo each with 2%, Amazon with less than 1%.
  Taiwan-based makers together shipped 25.55 million tablets in the quarter, with Foxconn Electronics accounting for 47%, Pegatron for 40%, Quanta Computer for 6%, Compal Electronics for 4% and Wistron for 3%.
