Global shipments of large-size panels in April 2013 reached 65.2 million units, dropping 5% on month, according to research firm WitsView.

　　LCD TV panel shipments declined 5.4% to 19.41 million units in April while monitor panel shipments dropped 3% to 13.88 million units. Shipments for notebook panels sized 10.1-inch and above reached 14.08 million units, declining 11% on month. Tablet panel shipments meanwhile reached 17.85 million units, trimming 1%, said the firm.

    19.5-inch monitor panels are gaining traction among brand clients. The 19.5-inch panels accounted for 5.2% of total April monitor panel shipments and are expected to see an increased market share in the second half of 2013.
