Global large-sized panel shipments in April 2013 reached 65.2 million units, dropping 5% on month, according to research firm WitsView.

　　Additionally, monitor panel shipments dropped 3% on month in April to a total of 13.88 million units. Shipments for notebook panels sized 10.1-inch and above saw shipments of 14.08 million units, declining 11% on month. As for tablet panels, shipments attained a total of 17.85 million, a drop of 1% on month despite adjustments made in Apple's inventory, said WitsView.

　　Ultra HD TV panel shipments meanwhile rose 5% from the previous month, causing the penetration rate for the technology to increase to 0.8% during April, noted WitsView.
