Monthly shipments of MediaTek's smartphone solutions are expected to top 20 million units in the third quarter of 2013, while shipments of its tablet-use ICs will also rise significantly, according to industry observers.

　　Some clients began taking deliveries of MediaTek's new smartphone solutions in June which will ramp up shipment growth at the chipset vendor in the third quarter, said the observers.

　　Despite a downward correction in sales in June due to inventory adjustments at clients, MediaTek is expected to see its revenues for the second quarter of 2013 reach NT$32-36 billion (US$1.071.2 billion) , higher that the company's target of NT$30-31.6 billion, estimated the observers.
