Recently, Samsung released new Windows Phone 8 device named Ativ S Neo. While it is just a tweaked version of Ativ for Sprint, the company is rumoured to be working on a serious WP8 contender, codenamed Cronus that might be introduced sometime this year.

　　Thanks to an official Samsung app Mobile Care, we found out that the application works only on the following devices: Samsung Cronus, Samsung Ativ S and Ativ Odyssey (for Verizon). There are some indications that the phone will have a 5-inch Full HD IPS display, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.6 GHz and 1 GB of RAM.

　　To run 1080p resolution, device will come with Windows Phone 8 GDR2 update by default. It is also expected to have several Samsung Galaxy S 4 features. Samsung will likely use 4G LTE connectivity and 16 GB of memory with no expansion slot. If Samsung is focusing at WP8, it probably means that Microsoft has a future with its operating system.
