Taiwan-based ODMs Ability Enterprise, Altek, Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) and Asia Optical shipped 6.115 million digital cameras in the second quarter of 2013, increasing 7.1% sequentially but decreasing 46.8% on year, according to Digitimes Research.
Of the shipments, 50.7% were 16-megapixel CCD models, 21.7% 20-megapixel CCD models and 18.6% 16-megapixel CMOS models, Digitimes Research indicated.
Ability accounted for 51.87% of the shipments, Altek 22.62%, Foxconn 21.59% and Asia Optical 3.92%.
Nikon was the largest client accounting for 49.44% of the shipments, followed by Fujifilm with 12.15%, Olympus with 11.45%, Sony with 11.12%, Casio with 4.24%, Panasonic with 3.6% and Samsung with 0.82%. |
