A-Data Technology saw revenues reach an almost three-year high at NT$4.83 billion (US$153 million) in March 2010. Shipments of its DRAM modules for the month also scored a company record, according to the company, which added that sales proportion from the segment grew to 65.54%.
A-Data's March revenues represent a 51.2% growth sequentially, and a 142.9% jump from a year earlier. Monthly sales generated from DRAM products were NT$3.17 billion, growing significantly from NT$1.845 billion in February. Meanwhile, the NAND flash segment totaled NT$1.67 billion in March, up 23.13% on month.
A-Data said its long-term supply contracts with chipmakers have allowed it to benefit from the tight PC-memory market driven by the demand side.
A-Data's accumulated revenues for the first quarter amounted to NT$11.73 billion, up 101.7% from 2009. DRAM modules accounted for 58.99% of its first-quarter revenues, with the remainder from NAND flash devices, the company revealed.
A-Data chairman Simon Chen was quoted in previous reports saying revenues for the first quarter would be the lowest for 2010. The company expects to generate record annual revenues in 2010.
