Sales of smartphones in Indonesia are expected to top 12-15 million units or 20-25% of total handset sold in the market in 2013, according to market observers.
  Entry-level and mid-range smartphones priced below US$200 will be the mainstream models in the market, the observers noted, adding that Android-based smartphones currently account for 50-60% of the smartphone market in Indonesia, followed by BlackBerry with a 30% share.
  Samsung is the top vendor of Android smartphones in Indonesia, taking up an over 80% share in the segment, followed by Sony Mobile Communications and local-based vendors Cross and Smartfren, the sources noted.
  Nine out of the top-10 best-selling Android mobile devices sold in Indonesia are offered by Samsung, including the Galaxy Y, Galaxy Mini, Galaxy Tab2, Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Chat.
