The Korean giants have launched a new version of the Galaxy Note II today, leaving a long gap between the launch of the original Note II and the new refresh. It looks like instead of launching a Galaxy Mega 5.5 or a Galaxy Note III Mini (that would be pretty darn ridiculous), Samsung simply updated their 2012 Note II phablet with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 SoC (leaving little to imagination if the Snapdragon 800 SoC has been kept reserved for the Note III). The chipset also adds support for TD-LTE, FDD-LTE and TD-SCDMA apart from the regular WCDMA and GSM network support. Display remains the same, a 5.5" HD SuperAMOLED unit, and you get the same 2 GB of RAM and camera modules. Keep in mind that this new version has been announced exclusively for China Mobile, the largest carrier in China. No word on whether the device will see a worldwide release.
