We haven't heard anything new related to the Samsung Galaxy Note III phablet flagship in a while now. Let's hope that this silence means that the confused Korean company has finally managed to finalize the specifications of the next-generation Note phablet, because we sure are getting impatient.

　　While past reports mentioned of an early September unveiling, there were not many follow-ups to it. Now, the Korean media claims in their recent report that Samsung is prepping to take their new (big) baby, the Galaxy Note III, to the global stage on September 4, which is just two days before IFA 2013 kicks off in Berlin, Germany. Incidentally, Sony's leaked press invite hints that the company's next-generation flagship, Honami, will also be unveiled on the 4th of September. 

　　The Galaxy Note III is rumored to pack a 5.7" 1080p Super AMOLED display, 3 GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 800/Exynos 5420 Octa SoC, a 13 MP rear camera and run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean at launch. Earlier reports mention that there will be multiple versions of the Note III. Seeing the Galaxy S4 (and its dozen variants), that report is entirely plausible).
