The stateside arrival of Nikon's Coolpix L620 super-zoom point-and-shooter is slated for September, when it will sell for $250 a pop. It was launched this February, in the company's home market of Japan. The rather compact-looking camera features a 14X optical zoom (25 mm to 350 mm focal range), backed by an 18.1-megapixel CMOS sensor, with a maximum sensitivity of ISO-3200. Also on offer, are OIS image-stabilization, 1080p video recording, a 3-inch LCD screen (no viewfinder), to warrant the humble pricing.
"The comfortable ergonomics and thoughtfully placed controls of the Coolpix L620 make it easy to capture amazing memories from a baby's first steps to a big hit at a little league baseball game," said Bo Kajiwara, Vice President of Marketing, Planning and Customer Experience, Nikon Inc. "The Coolpix L620 also includes many user-friendly features and controls to help consumers capture beautiful photos and videos with ease and confidence."
