IC packagers Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE) and Siliconware Precision Industries (SPIL) have reported increases in July consolidated revenues from the previous month of 5.6% and 2.1%, respectively.
ASE announced consolidated revenues of NT$17.53 billion (US$585.9 million) for July 2013. Sales consist of revenues generated by EMS subsidiary Universal Scientific Industrial (USI).
Excluding USI, ASE saw July sales of its main ATM (assembly test and material) operations slip 0.2% on month to NT$12.185 billion. Compared to the NT$11.02 registered in July 2012, sales showed a 10.6% increase, however.
ASE's cumulative 2013 consolidated revenues through July amounted to NT$116.48 billion, rising 11.3% from a year earlier.
Fellow company SPIL posted July consolidated revenues of NT$6.13 billion, up 10.6% from NT$5.54 billion in July 2012. Consolidated sales for the first seven months of 2013 totaled NT$37.55 billion, up about 1% from a year ago. |
