If you're a Windows Phone and a phablet fan (those large devices that borderline on being a mini-tablet), you really don't have many options to pick from. The largest screen size you can go foris with the Samsung ATIV S, which isn't really available in many places. But it looks like Nokia may be working on a fix for that. Enter the Lumia 825, the mega-sized Lumia 820 with a budget price tag. Rumors point to a 5.2-inch display, that would make the Lumia 825 the biggest Windows Phone handset yet. The GFXBench entry also mentions a quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC, which means that the new Lumia model will come packing Microsoft's next major WP8 update, GDR3. Sadly, the release date for GDR3 is very far away, chances of seeing the Lumia 825 before the end of the year are slim, especially if all of the listed specifications are true. |
