Huawei launched a new red+black trim for its Ascend P2 flagship smartphone. It features a matte aluminium red finish with silvery highlights, and a contrasting piano-black front bezel, framing the 4.7-inch screen. It joins the standard black and white variants the Ascend P2 debuted with. The red Ascend P2 was spotted on company website. Although its black and white variants are launched in Europe, there's no telling if the red variants will get just as global a launch.

　　The LTE-ready Ascend P2 features HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution on its 4.7-inch screen, a combination of 13-megapixel and 1.3-megapixel cameras, and Huawei's homemade K3V2 SoC with 1.50 GHz CPU clocks, 1 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal memory. A 2,420 mAh battery powers the device. Android 4.1.2 "Jelly Bean" is standard issue.
