Samsung's recently announced Henessy, the company's new flip-phone powered by Android, might cost as high as $800 without a contract if Chinese site listings are to be believed. Such a pricing would not only suck, but guarantee the failure of the product in the market. $800 is more than what the company asks for its flagship Galaxy S4, why would the average mind ever decide to spend more on a flip-phone?
Anyhow, the Samsung Henessy packs dual 3.3-inch HVGA (480 x 320) displays, quad-core Snapdragon SoC, 1 GB of RAM, a 5 MP rear camera, 1500 mAh battery and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean pre-installed. If you happen to be from Asia who is looking for a powerful phone packing a flip-phone design, the Samsung Henessy is the device for you, albeit only if you have deep pockets. |
