While we already knew that Oppo is working on a new camera phone codenamed N1, the Chinese phone maker has officially confirmed the device's existence. Additionally, Oppo revealed that it will take the wraps off its new camera centric Smartphone in September. Suddenly, every Smartphone making company is pushing really hard on camera phones, a trend started by Nokia with their N8, PureView 808 and finally the Lumia 1020.
The Oppo N1 will feature the company's new N-lens with a 12 megapixel image resolution. A special chip called 'Owl' will help enhance low-light photography, while the Xenon flash will ensure that you never fall short of adequate lighting. Another teaser image focuses on the top (or bottom?) edge of the phone, which shows a microUSB port, 3.5mm jack and a tiny loudspeaker. |
