Xiaomi's flagship smartphone, the Meizu MX3 is set for a September 2nd, 2013 launch. In the run up to that, sources close to the Chinese company revealed that the 5.1-incher could surprise the market with its pricing.
There's talk of a contract-free price well under the equivalent of $350, closer to $326. This pricing is expected to be a result of some serious cost-cutting by the company, without compromising on design or quality. The MX3 is tasked with living up to the legacy of its drop-dead-gorgeous predecessor.
To keep up with this generation's flagship smartphones, the Meizu MX3 is specc'd up appropriately. Its mix includes a 5-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, 13-megapixel BSI CMOS primary camera, Samsung Exynos Octa 5410 big.LITTLE SoC clocked at 1.60 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, and Android 4.2.2 "Jelly Bean" with Flyme 3.0 UX running atop. Fancy these specs under $350.
