Taiwan-based ODM Pegatron expects a 5-10% sequential decrease in its third-quarter 2013 notebook shipments and a 10-15% decline for desktops and motherboards, according to the company.
  However, revenues from consumer electronics and networking/communication devices for the third quarter are expected to increase 40-50% sequentially, Pegatron indicated.
  According to industry sources, Pegatron started shipments for a lower-price iPhone model in August and will begin to ship the second-generation iPad mini in September, and Sony's PlayStation 4 in October.
  For the first half of 2013, Pegatron posted consolidated revenues of NT$429.815 billion (US$14.45 billion), up 9.9% on year, with gross margin reaching 5.0%, net operating profit NT$7.546 billion (up 52.6%), net profit NT$5.966 billion, and net EPS NT$1.62.
