China-based networking/communication equipment and handset vendor ZTE has released it first-half 2013 financial report, with net profit of CNY310 million (US$50.1 million) increasing 26.6% on year.
ZTE generated half-year revenues of CNY37.576 billion, decreasing 11.88% on year mainly due to drops in domestic sale of GSM handsets and UMTS products, as well as declines in overseas sale of GSM handsets, the company indicated.
Domestic sales accounted for 50.09% of the first-half 2013 revenues and overseas sales 49.91%. Of the total revenues, 50.70% came from equipment/devices shipped to telecom carriers, 33.16% from terminal devices and 16.14% from telecom software, services and other products.
ZTE foresees net profit of CNY500-750 million for the first three quarters of 2013, in contrast with net loss of about CNY1.7 billion for the same period of 2012. |
