Nokia has officially launched their first entrant to the new large screen enabled Lumia x25 series Smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 625, in India after the phone sold out on pre-orders about five days ago (the sell out alone pushed the device's WP8 market share to over 1%). The Lumia 625 doesn't have much to it, except that it is a Lumia 620 with a 4.7-inch WVGA (800 x 480) display instead. Other than that, you get 512 MB of RAM, 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8930 SoC, a 5 MP rear camera with 1080p video recording and a VGA front facing camera, 8 GB of internal storage expandable via micro SD card, 9.2mm thickness, a large 2,000 mAh battery and WP8 OS.
The only downer about the Lumia 625 is its price tag. For a budget device, we were hoping for a more value oriented price tag, at least something more superior to the pricing that is commanded by a new Lumia 720, which is a beautiful phone, by the way. Are you living in India and are looking for a mid-range device with a large screen, but don't want to go to the Galaxy Grand, or even try something other than Android? The Nokia Lumia 625 is here for you, and it costs INR 19,999 (roughly $340).
