MediaTek has landed orders for its tablet chips from 10-20 tablet makers in China with mass shipments to begin in the fourth quarter of 2013, According to reports.

　　MediaTek's shipments of tablet chips are expected to top three million units a month in the fourth quarter, a 50% increase over current shipments, said the paper.

　　In the Taiwan market, in addition to landing orders from Acer and Asustek Computer, MediaTek has also managed to win orders for its MT8389 tablet chips from motherboard maker Micro-Star International (MSI), which will begin to market its MSI Primo 76 tablet in Taiwan at NT$7,990 (US$266) starting September 1, indicated the paper.
