All is not touch-slab in the mobile world, with Nokia still catering to "button-pushers" that don't trust touchscreens. The company rolled out Nokia 515, a 114 x 48 x 11 mm candy-bar that weighs a little over 101 g. Nokia's design focus is on build-quality. Its 2.4-inch screen is fronted by a Corning Gorilla Glass 2 panel, which adds some serious scratch-proofing. The rest of the device, and its buttons are made of high-quality plastic.
The 2.4-inch display of the Nokia 515 offers QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) resolution, and is capable of just 262k colors. In the imaging department, you get a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash. At 256 MB, the device has virtually no internal storage, but you can drop in your own micro-SDHC card, for up to 32 GB of storage. Its S40-derived interface is a throwback to the good old days of D-pad navigation, with modern graphics. Connectivity includes HSDPA (7.2 Mbps), and Bluetooth. Nokia is promising a stand-by battery life of 38 hours, and 10.4 hours 2G talk-time (5.3 hours on 3G). Slated for later this quarter, the Nokia 515 will ask a 115 Euros.
