Lenovo has announced the S5000 at IFA 2013, a 7.9mm thick Android tablet, looking to put portable power into your pocket.

　　The new tablet has a 7-inch display with a middling 1280 x 800 resolution and a respectable 350 nit brightness, along with a pair of cameras, with 1.6-megapixels on the front and 5-megapixels on the rear. Internally there's a quad-core MediaTek 1.2GHz processor and a 3450mAh battery to keep things ticking along.

　　However, the biggest sell of the S5000 seems to be its weight. At 246g, it's lighter than the Nexus 7 (290g) and the iPad mini (308g) even if you might argue that it lacks the build and power of those rival devices.

　　It will be launching on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, with the option for 3G connectivity. Lenovo also details that the S5000 will have a USB port for storage expansion.

　　With the S5000, Lenovo looks to be appealing to your pocket, both in terms of making the device portable, as well as affordable, with a €200 price tag expected when it hits stores in November.
