India has been a stronghold for premium Samsung smartphones, and the company is reciprocating the country's appetite for its products by placing it ahead of several others to receive two of its recently launched products, the Galaxy Note 3, and Galaxy Gear. September 25, 2013, is when Samsung plans to launch its premium 5.7-inch phablet, and path-breaking smartwatch in India. The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition), will launch in late-October, during the crucial Diwali shopping season here.
4G LTE networks are still under planning in India, and hence the country will get the HSPA+ capable variants of Galaxy Note 3, at prices on par with the rest of the world. To make up for that, the HSPA+ variant will be driven by Samsung's Exynos 5 Octa 5420 SoC, which when combined with Samsung's future HMP-enabled software updates, could prove faster than the Snapdragon 800-driven LTE variants. Since on-contract sale of high-end smartphones isn't very big in India, it will be interesting to see how Samsung prices its new products.
