Ever wondered why Samsung spends such a huge amount on R&D for their next-generation Note phablet? That's because the Smartphone in question has been nothing but a money minting machine for the Korean company ever since their first introduced the gigantic device two years ago at IFA 2011. Ever since then, Samsung has sold over 38 million Galaxy Note devices, a number that is 28 million more than what Samsung had reported around this time last year right after the launch of the Note II.
CEO JK Shin expects the company to post a strong last quarter driven by phenomenal Galaxy Note III sales. The company expects to sell over 10 million units of the new Note. We have little doubt that that target will be achieved. |
