Korean display giants Samsung and LG decided it was in their best interests to settle their OLED and LCD display patent disputes outside the courts. The two, in separate statements, said that that they should focus on innovation and market leadership than wasteful disputes.

　　"It was agreed that we two should focus more on cementing our leadership in the global market by cooperation, instead of engaging in all-consuming patent disputes,'' said Samsung, in a statement released on Monday (23/09). "What's most important for both of us is upgrading our competitiveness globally,'' LG said.
