The smartphone OEM that bought most into Firefox OS, ZTE, is planning a new high-end device running the open-source operating system, which it plans to bring to the US market by 2014. It will be bigger than anything ZTE has running the software, and could feature a new UI.
Current Firefox OS smartphones are entry-thru-mainstream models in the 3.5-inch to 4.5-inch range, by "bigger," ZTE could be hinting at something closer to the 5-inch class, which the market currently has an insatiable appetite for. ZTE currently sold over 100,000 smartphones running Firefox OS.
