Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) has secured annual orders of about 50 million handsets including feature phones and smartphones from Erajaya, Indonesia's largest mobile phone distributor and retailer PT Erajaya Swasembada, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.

Foxconn has issued a company filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange saying that it does not comment on specific business orders citing customer confidentiality.

The Jakarta Post cited Indonesia's Industry Minister, MS Hiday, in a May 22 report as saying that the Taiwan-based electronics contract manufacturer would team up with local company Erajaya to manufacture and sell handsets and tablets nationwide.
