Asustek Computer has posted consolidated revenues of NT$42.111 billion (US$1.41 billion) for September 2013, reaching the highest monthly level since September 2012 and increasing 2.97% on month and 13.05% on year.
  The revenue growth was mainly driven by booming shipments of second-generation Nexus 7 and own-brand tablets, Asustek indicated.
  Asustek generated consolidated revenues of NT$118.899 billion for the third quarter, growing 19.62% sequentially, while January-September consolidated revenues rose 2.77% on year to NT$332.572 billion.
  According to market analysts, Asustek shipped 4.3-4.5 million notebooks in the third quarter and is expected to ship 7-8 million tablets in the second half of 2013.
