Reports from a couple of months past said that Samsung had sped up their product release cycle, in a bid to accelerate the launch of the Galaxy Note 3 and be able to recover from the less-than-expected sales of their 2013 flagship Smartphone, the Galaxy S4. Turns out, in just a month, the Korean phone maker managed to sell 5 million units of their phablet flagship. In comparison, the Galaxy Note II sold 3 million units in the same timeframe, and 5 million in twice the amount of time (two months). Combined, Samsung has sold over 38 million units of the Galaxy Note (all three handsets) till date.
Some people might say that this is no big achievement, seeing that Samsung sold over 10 million units of the Galaxy S4 in one month. Keep in mind, the Note 3 is a humongous 5.7-inch phablet, whose target audience is not as wide and open as the Galaxy S4. However, phablets sure are catching up, and fast.
