After the Korean company revealed Tizen 3.0 at their Developer Conference, which received some major changes under the hood, the first Tizen device is apparently already shipping. While the first Tizen smartphone is expected to debut in February, the first Tizen device is Samsung NX300M camera about which we have already reported.
Although the company launched the NX300M in October, the company has just revealed that the camera is running on a version of Tizen operating system, called the "Tizen Camera Platform." One of the advantages of the platform is much faster booting along with improved image capture capabilities.
The NX300M is a mirrorless camera with a 180 degree rotatable display and large 20.3-megapixel APS-C sensor. It is capable of shooting up to 8.6 frames per second and it supports WiFi and NFC. It is available for about $600. |
