While we have known for weeks that Google is bringing their latest Smartphone, the Nexus 5, to India. The software giant quietly slipped in the new 2013 edition Nexus 7 as well. The simultaneous launch happened earlier today, and both devices are now available at Google Play Store.
It's been over four months since Google first announced the revamped Nexus 7 to the world, but the value-for-money tablet, which also happens to be filled with features to the brim, is finally available in India. Priced at Rs. 20,999 for the 16 GB WiFi variant, the new Nexus 7 2013 is twice expensive when compared to the current market price of the first-gen tab (Rs. 9,999). By paying extra, consumers get themselves a very high-resolution (1920 x 1200) display which boasts of very accurate color reproduction, a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2 GB RAM and a thinner and lighter design as well. While the front camera is still a 1.2 MP unit, ASUS added a rear 5 MP shooter to this year's small-sized Nexus tablet.
