HTC is now able to continue to sell its HTC One family smartphones in the UK after the Court of Appeal in the country has decided to put a stay on an injunction against the products, according to HTC.
The Court of Appeal's decision came after an urgent hearing required by HTC, which, according to a ruling of the High Court of Justice of England on December 3, was found to have infringed on a patent owned by Nokia.
HTC said it is pleased with the Court of Appeal's ruling to hold back the injunction and that it will continue to appeal regarding to the effectiveness of Nokia's patent involved (EP 0998024).
Meanwhile, HTC will continue to work with chipset suppliers to explore alternative solutions to minimize the impact on its future business, HTC said. |
