China Mobile will procure about 100 million TD-LTE-enabled smartphones in 2014, company chairman Xi Guo-hua said at the China Mobile Global Partner Conference 2013 taking place in Guangzhou, southern China, during December 18-19.
  China Mobile plans to add 500,000 TD-LTE base stations around China in 2014 to provide TD-LTE services in 340 cites, Xi said.
  Samsung Electronics cooperated with China Mobile to unveil three TD-LTE-enabled smartphones, the Galaxy Note 3 LTE (N9008V), Galaxy S4 LTE (I9508C) and Galaxy Core LTE (G3518), in Guangzhou on December 18 for contract-bundled sale. In addition, China-based vendor Coolpad and China Mobile jointly unveiled two TD-LTE-enabled smartphones, the 8720L and 8730L, also in Guangzhou on December 18.
