HP is reportedly working on entry-level Android handsets. Au contraire to previous reports, the tech giant still hasn't given up on Android, or making Smartphones in general. However, if you are dreaming of some drool-worthy hardware from the company, forget it. HP's primary focus with the new handsets is allegedly the developing markets. Also, the devices are said to sport 6-inch and 7-inch class displays.
Countries such as India, China etc. are the most likely candidates, where HP will release their new products first in the $200 to $250 price range (contract-free). HP might go official with the new handsets either in CES or MWC next year. |
